Parking
If you are expecting a parking pass as a visitor to campus, please use this website to purchase a temporarily parking permit (https://commuterservices.utah.edu/visitor-short-term-parking). Metered parking is available on the South side (nearest the MEB building) of the parking lot for up to one hour. Visitor parking is located in the center of campus next to the Student Union Building which can be accessed by Central Campus Drive.
Driving Directions
Directions from Downtown Salt Lake City
Take 100 South Street east, through the stop light at 1300 East. Continue uphill as the road bends to the left and then curves to the right. It changes names to North Campus Drive. Turn right at the stop light intersection at Central Campus Drive. Turn immediately into the parking lot at the first possible right turn. Merrill Engineering Building borders this parking lot to the South.
Directions from I-80
Take I-80 to 1300 East exit. Turn North on 13th East. Turn right (East) at the stop light on 100 South. Continue uphill as the road bends to the left and then curves to the right. It changes names to North Campus Drive. Turn right at the stop light intersection at Central Campus Drive. Turn immediately into the parking lot at the first possible right turn. Merrill Engineering Building borders this parking lot to the South.
Visitors from Other Universities
Regular permits from Utah State University, Weber State University, Brigham Young University, and Salt Lake Community College will be honored for occasional parking in most University of Utah lots. They are not valid in pay lots or at meters.
